September 10, 2010 -- The NSF recently registered the D3 Micro, HYSO's automatic door handle disinfecting system, as part of its Nonfood Compounds Registration Program.  According to the NSF, the D3 Micro is "acceptable for use...on door handles, door knobs, and door levers...in and around food processing areas."

"The NSF Nonfood Compounds Registration Program is a continuation of the USDA product approval and listing program, which is based on meeting regulatory requirements including FDA 21 CFR for appropriate use, ingredient and labeling review."
